I'm still hanging on for my package, which is caught up in customs on the German side. It's been almost two weeks now. Honestly, if Starbike is gonna sell to folks outside of Europe, they ought to provide top-notch shipping or pick a courier that has better tracking and customer service.

Decent service, but I was let down when I found out I needed to cough up an extra £131.79 for import fees, on top of the product cost of £356.

I managed to get my hands on a tough-to-find Fulcrum carbon wheelset for rim brakes. The item was dispatched within three business days after I placed my order and arrived from Germany to the USA in just five days. Rim brake wheelsets are becoming scarce as the market shifts towards disc brakes. If you're in the market for one, better act fast because they won't be around much longer. Starbike still has them in stock.

I found these suspension forks to be pretty much the only ones that fit my needs online, so I decided to give StarBike in Germany a shot for my first order. They arrived in good shape, though there’s a tiny chip in the paint on the fork bridge, likely from shipping, but it’s just a minor cosmetic thing. The delivery took about two weeks, and the tracking was decent until it hit the UK. Then, things got a bit messy when DHL handed it off to Parcel Force, who really dropped the ball with their lies and delays for a couple of days—had to deal with them returning for redelivery twice after I had already agreed to drop it at a local Post Office. And since I’m just the recipient, I couldn’t really complain to Parcel Force about it! The forks were listed at around £300, but by the time I checked out, it shot up to £340—just a heads up about that, probably due to the exchange rates. Customs added about £80 in VAT and import fees, pushing the total over £400, but I’m still pleased with the product and the service from StarBike. I’d definitely consider using them again if I find myself in a similar situation. Thanks, StarBike!

They claim delivery to the UAE takes 8-12 days. I placed my order on January 9, 2023, and as of January 30, my item is still stuck in Germany. I reached out to them, and they informed me that DHL delivery actually takes 14-30 days! So why do they advertise 8-12 days at checkout? I ended up missing an event because the fork I needed didn’t show up! This company is so dishonest! They charge for DHL express rates but send items using the cheapest delivery method. Seriously, don’t buy from this store!
